Websites and Browsers

1.) A website is a location, connected to the internet, that manages and maintains one or more web pages. Examples of famous websites are Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Wikipedia, E-Bay and Amazon.

2.) A web browser, or simply a browser, is a piece of software application that searches for, retrieves, and presents information, from the internet. Examples are Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Opera.

3.) There are many features of a web browser. Web browsers have something called tabs, which are different windows or websites that can be opened at the same time. Another main feature of web browsers are the favorites bar, which is a tab that you can add websites you want to visit quickly. Another main feature is the URL bar at the top of the screen. This displays the URL that you are currently on and you can use it to type in URLs.
